Type Chic is a celebration of the many ways typography can be used in design. Type is so often treated as a complement, but here it becomes the design itself. The black and white paper dress is patterned with letterforms from my favorite font, Baskerville, giving new life to a typeface often reduced to body copy. This project opens doors for old, overused fonts to be seen in fresh and unexpected ways.
