Beautifully Mundane is a typographic manifesto about romanticizing the small, insignificant parts of life. The design is meant to mimic a bullet journal that someone would carry with them every day and maybe stick little keepsakes from the day between its pages. This project was a therapeutic reminder to myself not to take the small moments for granted.
This design was a turning point project for my career. I loved the craft aspect of this project and making something tangible. I also enjoyed adding in handwritten notes and highlighting passages as if someone had owned this book before. This project paved the way for my research which eventually evolved into Rewritten, a platform for people to connect through handwriting and their own stories. Something in this project sparked a love for tangibility in this digital world and a constant search for new ways to combine the two.
